Why can't I play the recordings on my computer?

Due to the copyright protection required by the signal providers, all recordings made with the pay-TV card reader (CA) are recorded on memory media with additional security. In practice, this means that the recording is recorded on the disc in a decoded form and can be played back at any time (also with no permission on the subscriber card) but only on the device on which it was made. There is no way to edit such a recording on your computer.

This problem does not apply to:

- Free Channel Recording (FTA).
-recordings made using CI modules. The issue of copyright protection lies with the producer of the CAM module.
In practice most modules allow you to record decoded and open material for further editing.

Note: The above information only applies to xx2 and xx3 models, older ALi 3602 (blue menu) and Ariva S300 models have no additional copyright protection for recording from card reader (CA ).
