Is it possible at the same time to record one program and watch another?

Concurrent recording and watching different channels depends on the type of receiver.

Generally, such functionality requires having more than one tuner, and it is possible in the following cases:

- twin-tuner receiver (e.g. Ariva @Link TT, Ariva TT HD PVR)

- receiver equipped with a Semi-Twin Tuner function - you can record one channel while watching another, provided, however, that they are on the same frequency (transponder multiplex).

- combo receiver, equipped with two different tuners - it is possible to watch and record programs with different frequencies at the same time. One tuner supports the recording of the program (eg. Broadcast satellite), while the other - to watch a different channel (eg. Terrestrial TV).

In other cases it is not possible to record and watch another program at the same time.

Note:

Another limitation may be the channel coding. Depending on the model of the receiver and / or used, the CAM can be decoded at the same time, two or only one channel. Details of the manual.
